The progressive development of mankind can be attributed to stem cells. The fact that our body inhabits stem cells which replace old cells with new cannot be ignored. However in some diseases this is just not enough. The controversial element in the process is the use of embryonic stem cells. The hype has been stirred up due to its usage in carrying the termination of a just conceived human life. There have been strong protests against it from religious bodies (Vatican) and also from the Congress of the United States of America.
